Colossians 3:23 says – “Whatever you do, work whole heartedly, as for the Lord and not for men.”
I love what I do! I am not just a photographer I am an artist. I believe that my talent is a gift that God has given to me. My goal is to treat every person that comes through my doors with love and kindness. To capture those moments of happiness, joy, and celebration.
When you contact me about your session I will set up a time to meet with you. These meetings are very special to me, they give me a chance to meet with you and treat you to something delicious. Here I will learn about your session wants, needs and style. These little get togethers also give you a chance to ask me any questions that you have about sessions with me and get to know a little bit about me.
When it is your session day, you should expect a very calm atmosphere. The room is warm (literally!) and comforting. From the time you and your baby comes into the studio I will take over caring for them (unless they need to be fed.) My goal is to offer you as parents a time to relax, sit back and soak in the baby cuteness. Each baby that comes into my studio is sung to, loved on and prayed over. Your baby will run the show. If baby wants to eat; they will eat. If baby needs some love: they are loved. Newborn sessions are all about pleasing your newborn. I have lots of warm comfy blankets and swaddling fabrics. I use gentle touch and slow movements to peacefully pose your newborn. Posing is done in a safe and secure manner.
I have created and tested specific workflows and soothing techniques to get the most out of each session. Each session is unique for your family. I will always do my very best to capture your special images of your precious little one for you and your family to cherish for the rest of your lives.
Birthdays are typically a pleasant surprise. As a photographer, I completely understand that, and I am more than willing to work around your delivery schedule. When you purchase your Newborn Session, I use your due date as a way to keep track of each of my “pending arrivals”. Once your newest little bundle is born, call me and we will schedule the session more concretely. Newborn Sessions are best held between 6- 10 days after birth.
Newborn sessions last 2-3 hours, depending on the cooperation level of your little one. Please plan accordingly. Some babies sleep so deeply that posing and changing props are a breeze and things happen more quickly. Other babes are light sleepers and need lots of soothing and extra love to cooperate by falling asleep. Your little one is new to the world and to ensure peace, I allow them to run the show.
Do not worry if pee, poop or spit up happens. It is not the first or the last time. It is natural and it is expected. Each blanket and prop is washed in between sessions.
If you have a question that wasn’t answered here, just send me an email or give me a call. I want you to feel prepared and comfortable bringing your new little one to see me.
What if my baby is older than 14 days?
If your baby is older than 14 days old please, do not worry.
While I always suggest booking as early as possible, I understand that life happens. Maybe you had forgotten about setting up a session, maybe baby had to spend some time in the NICU,
whatever the case… Do not worry. Older newborns require more time and patience but I can still capture those precious moments for you and your family to cherish a lifetime.
